Consider attending the 30th annual Georgetown Wooden Boat Show that's always held during the third week in October from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday along the waterfront and Front Street in historic downtown Georgetown.

It’s regarded as one of the Southeast’s best wooden board exhibits with more than 140 classic wooden boats displayed on land and water, children’s model boatbuilding, knot tying, maritime arts and crafts, food and music, and much more. The show is produced by the Harbor Historical Association, a nonprofit organization. All proceeds benefit the South Carolina Maritime Museum.
