Suicide among veterans and the general public are hitting all-time highs due to PTSD, and veterans are 1.5 times more likely to commit suicide compared to those not serving in the military according to a 2019 study conducted by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Those with PTSD can suffer mental, emotional, social, and even physical damage.
On a more promising and positive note, recent studies and research focusing on the healing benefits of hemp-extracted CBD oils, have shown that they can deter the effects of PTSD symptoms among many other health ailments. CBD can help empower the body’s endocannabinoid system and promote quality sleep, prevent traumatic memories from arising, as well as establish physical and emotional well-being to mitigate symptoms of PTSD according to the Mayo Clinic and a 2016 Veterans Affairs published report.
Captain Glenn Hieronymus can at-test to the benefit and value of CBD oils in treating his diagnosed PTSD. While serving in the United States Navy, Hieronymus was exposed to multiple life-threatening duties and a near-death experience, and consequently suffered and was diagnosed with PTSD. Through his knowledge and practice of natural healing studies, Hieronymus developed and incorporated his own brand of wellness tea integrated with CBD oil to boost the immune system and calm his PTSD ailments.
